BlackButterflyMarket started with a simple observation: Ghana is full of talented vendors — seamstresses, food sellers, artisans, boutique owners — selling through WhatsApp statuses and word of mouth, with no storefront of their own. Building a website is expensive, big platforms take heavy commissions, and getting products delivered reliably across town is a daily struggle.

We built BlackButterflyMarket to change that: a single marketplace where local vendors get a real online store, customers pay the way Ghana actually pays — Mobile Money first — and orders are delivered by our own rider network. Every vendor on the platform is reviewed and approved before their store goes live, so customers know who they are buying from.
